PAOLO GIUSEPPE OREGLIA
Violin
He began studying
the violin at a very young age and was admitted to the Conservatory
of Music of "Santa Cecilia" in Rome when he was only ten
years old, completing his regular musical studies under the guidance
of the Masters Bignami, Brengola, Apostoli. At eighteen he began his
solo concert activity and was called to be part of the Symphony
Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, where he played
under the direction of famous musicians such as Carlo Maria Giulini,
Francesco Sinopoli, Georges Pretre, Lorin Maazel , etc.
He
graduated brilliantly in 1983 and then began his specialization in
violin at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, under the guidance
of M° A. Pelliccia, obtaining the Diploma of the Three-year Course
in 1986.
The study and improvement of the violin and conducting
continues, with distinguished masters such as H. Fister, P. Vernikov,
P. Gantward, G.Serembe, D. Renzetti, in Italy (Maiano, Portogruaro,
etc.) and abroad (St. Petersburg).
At the same time, the
collaboration with prestigious Italian orchestras (RAI of Rome,
Abruzzese Symphonic Institution, Caserta Chamber Orchestra, etc.) and
international orchestras (Rotary Youth International Orchestra with
which he participates, reported on that occasion by Maestro Salvatore
Accardo, continues, to the international tour of 1990 which involves
the main Italian centers of central Europe - Stresa, Pisa, Milan,
Verona, Geneva, Lyon, Brussels, Turin, Sanremo).
The solo
activity leads him to be present in the main European countries,
(Germany 1988- Munich-, Spain 1991- Catalonia -, Austria 1999 -
Graz-, France 2000-Lyon-, Hungary 2003 - Budapest-, Spain 2004-
Basque Country - Switzerland 2004-Lausanne- etc.) also in
collaboration with important soloists such as C. Ferrarini, G.Grano,
T.Vratonijc, C. Casadei etc. reaping sensational successes from the
public everywhere.
Founder of numerous ensembles, since 2003 he
has promoted the “NoteInLibertà” International Festival
currently coordinated by the Province of Teramo in collaboration with
the administrations of Nereto, Alba Adriatica, Giulianova, Roseto,
Torricella Sicura.
As part of this
initiative, in 2005 he founded the SYO Youth Orchestra, of which he
is the permanent director, with which he animates the Festival and
which has also already performed in the Mozart Week of the Marruccino
Theater in Chieti, creating, among other things, a CD for the CSV of
Chieti.
Full Professor since 1985 as winner of the competition
based on qualifications and exams at the "G. Braga" Musical
Institute of Teramo, he has taught at the 'L. Perosi' Conservatory of
Campobasso and at the “G.Rossini” State Conservatory of Music in Pesaro , and is currently the holder of a violin class at the
“S.Cecilia” State Conservatory of Music in Rome.
For years he has
been carrying out an appreciated didactic activity also in important
festivals in Italy and abroad (Ottocento Festival Saludecio
1999/2000, international summer school for young musicians "Max
Rostal" held in Postojna (Slovenia) in Summer 2001 and in Graz
(Austria) in summer 2002, etc.).
From 2008 to 2019 he was
artistic director of the "Rotary Club Teramo Est international
musical performance competition"
He plays a violin built by
the famous Italian luthier Marino Capicchioni in 1969.
